GDP Data Quicky (4)

Interesting article on BBC today, after the first estimate of the UK GDP figures for Q3 came out. Particularly interested in the graph (from NIESR) below, which resembles the some of the deviation comparisons / analysis I’ve done in previous GDP Data posts 1, 2 & 3, an shows 1930-34 patterns too.

It definately looks like UK GDP behaviour is finding a new mean model to follow, although I’m still tempted to speculate that the mean model will still look exponential, once (if!) it takes off again, as I think it is in the nature of GDP to do so.
